Set in its own private 4.5-acre meadow in the Carmarthenshire countryside, Meidrim Meadows has just one shepherd’s hut, so there are no other guests and the space is yours for the duration of your stay. Sleeping up to four, with a king-size bed and bunk beds for children, it’s a secluded place to stay for couples and families, with Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire within easy reach.
The hut has been designed to make good use of the space, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The king-size bed sits beneath a stargazing window, so you can look up at the night sky from bed. If you’re bringing the kids, the bench seating converts into bunk beds for children.
The kitchenette has an under-counter fridge, microwave, double hob, kettle and toaster, giving you the option to cook during your stay. There’s also an en-suite shower room with a Cinderella incinerating toilet.
A log burner keeps the hut cosy on colder evenings, and electric heating keeps it comfortable year-round.
Step outside and the 4.5-acre meadow is yours to enjoy, with no other guests sharing the space. There’s an outdoor dining area with a BBQ and firepit, plus an egg chair and swing seat for taking in the surrounding countryside.
There’s plenty of room for children to run and play, or simply find your favourite spot to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
We provide bed linen and towels, along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the en-suite shower room.
The kitchenette has cooking utensils, crockery and kitchen essentials, as well as tea and coffee sachets, washing-up liquid and tea towels. Toilet roll is also provided.
A small supply of firewood is provided for the log burner, with additional firewood available to purchase if you need more.
There is private parking a short walk from the shepherd’s hut. A wheelbarrow is provided to help you take your luggage to and from the hut. As you’ll be staying in a meadow in the Welsh countryside, the ground can get muddy, so please bring suitable footwear, particularly during wetter weather.
The king-size bed is raised and requires a step up, which is worth bearing in mind if you have limited mobility.
The hut has mains drinking water and free Wi-Fi, although our rural location means the Wi-Fi connection can occasionally be intermittent.
